The castings. Everything here started as a real thing: a shell from Captiva, a twig, my grandmother's flower pin, a 1954 baby shoelace. A ring made with slow drops of wax. Pieces are hand-carved in wax, cast in brass, electroplated in gold. Each one takes hours, and no two come out quite the same.
